Tragic death of legendary musician Brian Chilala a big blow

Dear editor,
THE death of kalindula king, Brian Chilala, the legendary musician, is a big blow to the country and the music fraternity in particular.
Chilala, who died in a traffic accident on Sunday, played alongside Amayenge Cultural Ensemble, the late Paul Ngozi of the Ngozi Family Band and the Burning Youth, among others, before forming his own Ngoma Zasu Band.
He was the road manager, singer and dancer whilst with the Amayenge Band led by Chris Chali.
Chilala’s music legacy will ultimately outlive him.
The legendary musician was famous for songs like Nsanje, Shimololwa, Mwilaba, Munda Wakale, Awisi Boyi and Jombo, among others.
He has indeed left a big gap in the music industry which will be very difficult to fill.
Go well Brian. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
