‘Timber industry can grow economy’

THE Zambia Association of Timber and Forestry Based Industries says the timber industry has the potential to contribute to economic growth and create more than five million jobs if well managed.

Association secretary general Kalowa Mooto has since advised Government to call for a stakeholders’ indaba to resolve the impasse that has hit the timber fraternity.
Mr Mooto said there is need to engage stakeholders in policy formulation and implementation processes if the industry is to contribute to economic growth and job creation.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
