Tigers ‘maul’ Rangers, Kalulushi win

LUSAKA Tigers ambitions of bouncing back to the big league on Saturday got back on track after beating Katete Rangers in a Division One (South) Week 22 match at Independence Stadium.
Chibesa Chanda and Frank Kaluba contributed a goal apiece for Tigers to return to winning ways following their 2-0 loss to Luena Buffaloes in Kaoma on August 2.
Tigers have 43 points at par with Nampundwe who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Zesco Shockers but the former have a better goal aggregate.
The teams are 10 points behind leaders Kabwe Warriors who were not in action having already played their Week 22 match against Mongu Youth Sports Academy which they won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Kalulushi Modern Stars on Sunday consolidated their stay at the summit of Division One (North) after overcoming Gomes at Independence Stadium in Kalulushi.
Striker Cephas Handavu netted the solitary goal in this Week 22 match.
Kalulushi have 45 points at par with second placed Lumwana Radiants but the former have a superior goal difference.

Lumwana enhanced their chances of winning promotion to the Super Division after beating Chindwin Sentries at Solwezi Stadium.
Midfielder Lembani Lungu’s goal separated the teams.
