FORMER Chipolopolo midfielder Linos Makwaza has admitted that it was painful to witness the Africa Cup of Nations draws on Tuesday without Zambia being among the 24 teams involved.
Zambia missed out on the chance to make it for next year’s AfCON after finishing second from bottom in their group which saw Algeria and Zimbabwe qualify. But all the teams that Zambia will meet in the World Cup qualifiers start next month were involved in the draws.
“It is painful to miss AfCON and see the draws,” the former national team forward said. “But with the squad that we have right now, I think we will go again to the Africa Cup again.
