Thieves break into NAREP offices, steal computers

HENRY SINYANGWE, Lusaka
SUSPECTED thieves have allegedly broken into National Restoration Party (NAREP) offices in Lusaka and got away with computers and documents.
Lusaka Province commissioner of police Lemmy Kajoba and NAREP president Elias Chipimo confirmed this in separate interviews yesterday.
Mr Kajoba said NAREP officials reported the matter to Lusaka Central Police Station.
“They reported that their offices were broken into in the early hours of Sunday where computers and other valuable documents were stolen,” Mr Kajoba said
He said police have instituted investigations into the matter.
Mr Chipimo said computers, hard drives and valuable documents were stolen.
“From our own estimation, we think this was not an ordinary criminal act,” he said.
