POLICE in Mpika have arrested an 18-year-old boy of Mpumba village for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl of the same village.
Muchinga Province deputy commissioner of police Peter Bubenshi said in an interview yesterday that the incident occurred on Tuesday when the girl was helping herself in the toilet.
“The girl had gone to the toilet to help herself when the suspect followed and defiled her in the toilet,” he said.
Mr Bubenshi said the boy has been remanded in police custody and will appear in court tomorrow.
