They all have seen their dreams of lifting the coveted trophy crashed by the Zambia Air Force (ZAF)-sponsored side on the very last day of the season.
In 2012, Power Dynamos enjoyed one of their best seasons and only needed a win on the last day to win the championship but Arrows stunned them 1-0 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka to stop them from defending the championship.
Again two years later, Zanaco had a flawless run and a win over Arrows would have guaranteed them the championship but things turned sour on the final match day as Arrows trounced the Bankers 4-0 to end coach Chiyangi’s dream of winning a maiden Super Division title.
That was not all. Last season, Warriors under Chilumba had a memorable run in Stream A during the transitional season as they went unbeaten and only needed a win to finish top, but again Arrows spoiled their party with a 1-0 victory. Warriors ended in fourth place behind Zesco, Zanaco and Arrows. It was a bitter moment for Warriors, who had even printed T-shirts proclaiming themselves as champions. CLICK TO READ MORE
