THE African Economic Outlook (AEO) has bemoaned failure by Zambian entrepreneurs to take advantage of the abundant
natural resources to establish industrial clusters to run alongside large corporations.
AEO report notes that despite Zambia having more entrepreneurs than most African countries, the country is not considered as the most entrepreneurial due to the failure to establish industrial clusters to run alongside large corporations.
AEO report was compiled by the African Development Bank (AfDB), United Nations Development Plan (UNDP) and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
AEO observed that international retailer chains that have been set up in the country provide an opportunity for the SMEs to manufacture goods that would easily find their way to the shelves.
