‘Take advantage of goat business’

FARMERS should take a holistic approach towards the sale of goats to realise better incomes from their product in view of the yeaning Middle East market, a traditional leader says.
In 2016, Saudi Arabia requested Zambia to start supplying one million goats per year to the Middle East.
Senior chief Chikanta of Kalomo District in Southern Province said there is need for farmers to look beyond goat meat by focusing more on the skin, milk and cheese production among other products.
