Take advantage of digital technology – WED

The Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED) Zambia has called for women in business to join the movement to empower women and girls in the country to help alleviate poverty.
Speaking during the WED summit in Lusaka yesterday, WED Zambia Ambassador Kuzengu Namwanza said a lot of businesses become irrelevant due to lack of digital technology.
And speaking at the same event, Business and Finance Consultant Stella Sata said women should make use of internet to expand their businesses and enhance the country’s economy.
Ms. Sata said women need to get out of their comfort zone of depending on men and be innovative.
She stated that if more women are empowered, the country’s economy would have been more favourable and stable for both the private and public sectors.
Women empowerment summit is an annual programme that brings women from various business sectors together to exchange business ideas and see how the female folk can contribute to job creation.
