ONCE upon time, 90,000 Kafue Red Lechwe roamed freely on the Kafue Flats, a grassy expanse of wetland.
In fact, the first documented count of Kafue Lechwe in 1931 revealed an estimated 250,000 animals on the flats. (more…)

THE vehicle did not seem to go any faster than I wanted it to, it was slowed down mostly by the bumpy gravel road we were travelling on. My eagerness was to reach Lochinvar National Park in Monze, Southern Province.
