Invest in aquaculture, farmers told

GOVERNMENT has called on farmers to invest in aquaculture to increase fish production and bridge the country’s huge deficit of 80,000 metric tonnes.
Zambia’s current fish production from captured fisheries stands at 85,000 metric tonnes while the contribution from aquaculture is 32,000 metric tonnes per annum. (more…)

CSO to start livestock and aquaculture census

TRYNESS TEMBO, Lusaka
THE Central Statistical Office (CSO) says the data collection exercise for livestock and aquaculture census is expected to start this week in all the provincial centres following the training of field staff.
Over K31 million has been released by Government for livestock and aquaculture census.
