FLASHBACK: Mrs Mwansa serves founding President Kenneth Kaunda cake during the launch of the KK safari suit in 2012.

SBM investment proprietor Sylvia Mwansa is among 25 participants from 15 African countries invited to attend the seminar on Female Capacity Building in China.
The seminar, which began on September 3 and ends September 23, has been organised by Fujian Foreign Trade and Economic Co-operation officials training centre of China.
The training course content will touch on women’s status in society as one of the important symbols for social development.
Further, the training will also look at strengthening female capacity building in developing countries which not only complies with the Millennium Development Goals but also satisfies the interest and actual demand of every developing country.
Some of the participating countries include Ethiopia, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Sierra Leon, South Africa, South Sudan, Uganda, Cameroon, Tanzania, Seychelles, Egypt, Sudan and Zambia.
Ms Mwansa, who is also a Change Agency Initiative Chief Executive Officer in Zambia, said she appreciates the sponsorship by the Chinese government to participate in the 2014 seminar on the female capacity building.
She said “Upon my return, I will come and share my experience and knowledge acquired with many women in my networks through Change Agency Initiative facilitation.”
Ms Mwansa, who is an admirer of Chinese work culture, simply dedicated the opportunity to attend the seminar as her golden jubilee gift as Zambia turns 50 years this year.
