Swedish NGO calls for livestock policy

A SWEDISH co-operative non-governmental organisation has urged Government to expedite the implementation of the livestock policy since it is important in development of the sector.

WE EFFECT project co-ordinator Martin Sekeleti said the livestock policy if implemented, will act as a catalyst for boosting investment and private sector participation.

Mr Sekeleti said this when he appeared before parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Land and Natural Resources, chaired by Kaputa Member of Parliament Maxas Ngónga, that it is unfortunate that the livestock policy has been in draft form for a long time.
