Strengthen operation systems, cooperatives advised

TRYNESS TEMBO, Lusaka
THE Community Markets for Conservation (COMACO) says farmer cooperatives need to strengthen their operation systems to harness the rural development potential.
COMACO has introduced a new, low-cost training approach to strengthen the leadership skills of the cooperatives.

According to the company’s latest newsletter, the methodology involves local-language learning modules, consisting of 12 to15 recorded lectures uploaded onto MP3 Lifeline radio players that are solar-powered.

“The lectures are played back in the village at locations where cooperative leaders are accompanied by a local adult instructor to facilitate a group learning experience,” the publication reads.
To build on the work, COMACO has now rolled out module three on business management to benefit 13 cooperatives from..http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
