State wins mandatory HIV testing debate

Dear editor,
THE Government remains the winner of the debate over mandatory HIV/AIDS testing of all those that visit hospitals.

Even at hospital, after testing the patient, the staff record the findings in the patient’s file in such a way that laypersons can’t understand them.
My concern is that while the majority of women visit hospitals because of pregnancies, the majority of men, especially the youth, never go to hospitals.
To have them tested, every woman that visits a health facility should go with her husband.
