State to scale up fish farming

MINISTRY of Fisheries and Livestock permanent secretary David Shamulenge says Government will scale up funding to the aquaculture sector in Luapula, Northern and North-Western provinces as this is the only way to reduce fish deficit in the country.
And Dr Shamulenge says the ministry has set aside K10 million for the growth and development of the aquaculture sector in the country.
Speaking when he toured Pakayeloba fingerlings hatchery in Kanshinzhe, Dr Shamulenge said Luapula, Northern and North-Western provinces have more water bodies where Government will invest more to promote aquaculture development.READ MORE
