SPECIAL assistant to the President for projects monitoring and implementation Lucky Mulusa says Government will next week pay contractors working on the 168km Solwezi-Chingola road and township roads in Solwezi district.
Mr Mulusa said Government has secured funds to pay the contractors to enable them continue with the works.
He said Government has heard the cries of the people of North-Western Province regarding the Solwezi-Chingola road and the township roads and has since sourced funds to complete works on the projects.
“I am happy to announce to the people that we managed to secure money for the township roads and I have spoken to the contractor and he is getting back on site by next week,” he said.
Mr Mulusa was speaking when he featured on a live programme on Radio Kabangabanga in Solwezi on Wednesday night.
