GOVERNMENT has assured contractors building institutions of learning across the country that they shall be paid.
Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education Michael Kaingu said government is committed to ensuring that all contractors building schools and universities are paid on time.
Dr Kaingu said this when he toured Chasefu Boarding School, which government is building at a cost of K36 million.

Dr Kaingu said government wants to ensure that all projects are finished before next year’s elections so that fresh ones begin.
He said government wants to embark on massive infrastructure development after the 2016 general elections and top of the agenda will be the construction of teachers’ houses.
“We know that our teachers in the rural areas face a lot of challenges, which we want to address, “Dr Kaingu said.
