State gets tough on ZICTA

GOVERNMENT has called on the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) to reprimand mobile providers offering consumers substandard network services.
By the end of the second quarter of this year, Zambia’s mobile subscribers were 16.3 million, showing a penetration rate of 93 percent, while internet was at 10.5 million, representing over 60 percent penetration.
