State focused on reducing maternal deaths in Luapula

LUAPULA Province medical officer Mathew Ng’ambi says Government has put in place measures to reduce maternal deaths in the province.
Dr Ng’ambi said in an interview on Wednesday that the province has recorded 25 maternal deaths in the last 10 months.
He said the current maternal mortality rate in the province, which stands at 200 per 100,000 live births, is unacceptable.READ MORE
