State deploys 60 defence personnel to Lesotho

KELVIN CHONGO, Lusaka
GOVERNMENT has deployed 60 defence personnel to support the Kingdom of Lesotho in strengthening peace,security and implement political and constitutional reforms.
Zambia Army deputy commander and chief of staff Jackson Miti confirmed the deployment of the defence personnel yesterday.

Major General Miti said Zambia is equal to the task of providing the necessary assistance to political instability in Lesotho.

He said this during the send-off parade of defence personnel for the Southern African Development Community (SADC) preventive mission in Lesotho at Arakan Barracks in Lusaka yesterday.
