‘Sport critical to region’

Government says sport could contribute to the development of Southern Africa.
“It remains a key principle because through sport we can attain good governance and positive development in this sector,” Minister of Youth and Sport Chishimba Kambwili said.
In a speech read on his behalf by Livingstone town clerk Vivian Chikoti at the 4th annual Southern African Teachers Organisation (SATO) sports tournament at Livingstone Institute of Business and Engineering and Studies yesterday, Kambwili said the tournament will not only expand the horizon of friends but also act as a catalyst to foster unity in the region.
And SATO president Henry Kapenda said the games are a tool for unity in the region.
