LEADERS Kitwe Playing Field (KPF) on Saturday consolidated their lead at the summit of the National Rugby League after beating Roan in a Week Six encounter in Luanshya.
Victory pushed KPF to 27 points, six clear of second-placed Red Arrows.
Kaluba Chilundami inspired the ‘Spoilers’ to victory after posting three tries while Terry Kayamba contributed a brace of tries at Roan Rugby Club.
Andrew Milimo and Aaron Chinula scored a try apiece with international Benaya Mukwamba and Charles Banda adding a brace of conversions each.
Roan netted a consolation through David Koloko’s try which was converted by Alex Mwewa, who also scored a penalty.

Champions Arrows bounced back to winning ways after thumping ‘Powerhouse’ Lusaka in an exciting Lusaka derby at Yotam Muleya Ground.
Arrows scored five tries through Musonda Kabwe, Edward Mumba, Chishimba Kafula, David Chimbukulu and Nigel Chibwe while Terry Kaushiku added a conversion and a penalty.
Lusaka scored a consolation through Saulos Banda which Lackson Nkhoma converted. Nkhoma also scored a penalty.
DIGGERS 107 KANSANSHI 3
‘Men at Work’ Diggers registered their biggest win of the season after walloping Kansanshi at Nkana West Rugby Field to sneak into third place.
Diggers have 18 points.
Kabwela Mulenga scored four tries with Jubilee Chisenga contributing a hat-trick of tries while Billy Maipambe, Elisha Bwalya, Andrew Santala, Jason Thole, Patrick Simwakwi, Ntumba Besa, Jesse Mazabuka, Joshua Kasosa and Mbuyani Mwafulilwa netted a try apiece.
Brian Mbalwa added 11 conversions in a lopsided match while Kansanshi scored a penalty through Mukupa Mutale.
In other matches, Chibuluma battled to a 14-14 draw with Konkola while Mufulira A beat Ndola 69-5 and Green Buffaloes overcame Green Eagles 16-9. Mufulira B were on bye.
