‘Speed up dialogue process’

GOVERNMENT has urged the Zambia Centre for Interparty Dialogue (ZCID), the Church and political players to speed up the dialogue process to allow for continuation of the constitutional refinement programme.
The process of refining the Constitution is supposed to be concluded before June next year.
Minister of Justice Given Lubinda said in an interview yesterday that it will be difficult to undertake the impending constitutional reforms if stakeholders do not iron out their perceived differences through the long-awaited dialogue.
Mr Lubinda said it is important to address all constitution-related issues before the 2021 general elections.
President Edgar Lungu recently halted the process of refining the Constitution until national dialogue is held
