THE historic South African city of Cape Town welcomed home one of its own on Saturday as Jonathan Butler returned to his home town to perform at the 20th celebration of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF).
Butler, who has been based in the United States for 35 years now, last performed at the CTIJF many years back. On Saturday, he was a festival headliner with a special show dubbed ‘Home Coming’.
Organisers of the festival devised the concept of a ‘homecoming’ for Butler to lead the celebration of a festival he started out by hosting years ago.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
