UNDER-20 national team coach Beston Chambeshi is impressed with Spain-based midfielder Mumba Mwape’s talent.
Mwape is among the 22 players summoned for the 2017 Africa Youth Championship kicking off on February 26 in Lusaka and Ndola.
He features for Spanish outfit Getafe academy.
Chambeshi said in an interview from Tenerife, Spain, yesterday that Mwape is a talented player.
“The boy is very good. He is working hard in training, he is very sharp. We will see him tomorrow [today] when we play Tenerife in a friendly,” he said.
Chambeshi is happy with the commitment from all the players.
“As a technical bench, we are happy with the attitude from the boys. We are also happy with the training facilities here [Tenerife], well organised,” he said.
He said the junior Chipolopolo are targeting victory in today’s friendly against Tenerife.
The junior Chipolopolo will also face Spanish La Liga youth outfits Las Palmas on Thursday and Real Madrid next Monday.
Zambia are Group A with Guinea, Egypt and Mali while Group B has Cameroon, Senegal, South Africa and Sudan.
