SOS teachers, pupils send distress call

SOS Children's Village of Zambia.

NANCY SIAME, Lusaka
THE fate of about 750 pupils, including orphans and other vulnerable children at Herman Gmeiner School in Lusaka, hangs in the balance following the end of donor support to the learning institution.
And over 60 teachers at the school could lose their jobs if the school closes.
The school management has told parents to find alternative places for their children by next month.
Herman Gmeiner School, which is under SOS Zambia, has been receiving financial support from Norway since 1996 but this support is ending next month.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
