AT THE time when some sections of society look down on the performance and work culture of the civil service, it is gratifying that Zambia still has committed and hard-working civil servants.
On August 25, 2014, I went to the Luanshya district administration to have certain documents certified.
In spite of the officer having a busy schedule of meeting the permanent secretary, he ensured that he attended to me, which is rare for most public officers.
I think most readers will agree with me that it is common among some officers to always say â€œcome tomorrow because I am going for this or that meetingâ€.
I wish all those occupying important public offices will emulate this Luanshya official when serving the public.
