THERE is need for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to have access to corporate legal services to protect businesses from unnecessary liability, Bongohive has said.
Company co-founder and head of entrepreneurship Simunza Muyangana said legal guidance for start-ups is often overlooked despite being a vital aspect in protecting and building scalable businesses.
“As an SME starts to grow, it is important to have appropriate documentation in place to protect the business as well as the assets.
“Having an experienced corporate and commercial team of lawyers to discuss a start-up’s options upfront may help avoid unwanted results down the road, like paying more in taxes or exposing yourself to unnecessary liability,” Mr Muyangana said.
It is from this background that the company has engaged Musa Dudhla and Company due to its extensive Zambian expertise, commercial transactions and dispute resolution.
