Sleepy Zambia Boxing Federation wakes up

WITH most sports activities set to commence next month, with the exception of boxing, the Zambia Boxing Federation (ZBF) is starting to do its own work to try and get its boxers back in the ring.
President Edgar Lungu on Thursday, during his address to the nation, said the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Super Division and Division One leagues, together with other sports disciplines, will resume in July with strict adherence to health guidelines as stipulated in Statutory Instruments 21 and 22.
Amplifying on the President’s statement, Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development Emmanuel Mulenga said boxing was not part of the sports disciplines that are expected to resume next month.
