SINOTRUK doubles sales of heavy-duty trucks

SINOTRUK International Zambia has more than doubled its sales for heavy-duty trucks to 1,000 as the country starts to slowly move away from second-hand vehicles.
Meanwhile, Truckers Association of Zambia is hopeful that the soon to be established African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) will reduce unnecessary delays at border posts, which are causing transporters to lose over US$400 daily.
Sinotruk International Zambia commercial representative Dong Qi Man said since 2008, the company has been distributing trucks and has increased sales from 400 units last year.
“The last three years have been good for our business. Our sales have been increasing by double. A number of customers are realising that it is more reliable to buy brand new vehicles as opposed to second hand,” Mr Dong said during a client cocktail on Saturday evening
