GOSPEL GROOVES with FELIX NYAMBE
HAVING debuted on the gospel music circuit with his defining album titled Kwatha in 2009, R. Sindy Z (Rabson Sinsy Zimba) has over the years grown spiritually.
He attributes his faithfulness and obedience to God to his amazing transformation since he got saved in 1999.
Sindy acknowledges that many times, as human beings, we tend to doubt God’s ability to intervene and console us in our spiritual journey.
Like he sings in Kwatha (it’s finished), Sindy says Jesus paid it all on the cross of Calvary, therefore every manner of disease and affliction has an expiry date in the lives of all those who worship God in spirit and truth.
His new album titled Tsikani, containing songs of hope such as Umulopa and Calvary, seems to have a similar anointing to his first album, Kwatha.
In both tracks, the singer declares that it is only the blood of Jesus Christ which was shed on the cross of Calvary that washes away our sins.
But for one to receive that priceless gift of life, one must believe and thereafter be transformed, according to the title track Tsikani (change).
Before Sindy became born-again, there were many times when he felt lonely and forsaken until he gave his life to Jesus, who has changed him completely.
“When one is changed and is ever in the presence of the Lord, there is joy and no despair. And that is the reason I came up with the song, Leka Ukulila (weep no more),†he said.
Lesa Mpepa and Mukulu are both worship songs that make you feel the presence of the Lord; the great I AM who deserves praise and honour.
And when you kneel down and pray to the father as Jesus taught His disciples, Sindy says, God will reveal Himself to you.
After the release of Kwatha and Tsikani, Sindy has also produced a DVD which contains songs from the two albums.
The video contains such songs as Thandizo, Kwatha, Tsikani, Kulibe Wina, Lesa Mpepa and Amama, which the singer selected carefully.
After the release of the two albums, which have been enjoying relative airplay on radio, especially on Radio Christian Voice, Sindy decided to come up with a team of vocalists called Moment of Worship.
“After ministering at different churches around the country, I came up with a team called Moment of Worship Zambia in 2009,†Sindy said.
With the Moment of Worship, the young minister has ministered at various churches with their maiden overnight event being a life-changing evening at Avondale Complex in 2009.
On May 1, the Moment of Worship will be ministering at Dynamic Worship Centre International in Garden Compound, thereafter their next target is Burning Bush Ministries for an evening of worship. Happy Easter Sunday!
