Siliya urges scribes to research

MINISTER of Information and Broadcasting Services Dora Siliya has urged journalists to enhance research and professionalism in the execution of their work to revive dwindling journalism ethics.
And Government has called on journalists to be factual and objective in their reporting to distinguish good from bad journalism.
Ms Siliya said there is need for journalists to stand tall and revive falling professional ethics.
“I challenge journalists to stand tall and take up their place in society. The media plays a critical role through shaping people’s opinion and views. Journalists should endeavour to promote and maintain a high level of professional standards,” she said.
Ms Siliya was speaking on Friday night at the Northern Province expo media awards in Lusaka.
