SIDA injects $1 million in milk info system

THE Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) has released US$1 million for the digital information management system (DIMS) pilot project aimed at digitalising the operations of the dairy value chain to enhance output.
The project that will run for two years covering 30 milk collection centres (MCCs) will benefit 3,000 small-scale dairy farmers directly and 18,000 indirectly.
Dairy Association of Zambia (DAZ) chairperson Miriam Mbazima said at the DAZ 9th annual general meeting yesterday that the project will help farmers with updated information of the sector.
