Siamese twins: Mum puts trust in God

JUSTIN and Harrison soon after they were born in Kabwe Central Hospital. Right, former Siamese twins Bupe and Mapalo (above) also shared a liver.

ZIO MWALE, Lusaka
WHEN Precious Malambo of Mulungushi Agro area arrived at Kabwe’s Libowa Clinic for antenatal check-up on December 14, 2018, she did not know she was expecting twins.
But that was not the only shocker. Ms Malambo, 30, a peasant farmer, did not know that her twins were conjoined until she gave birth.
The Siamese twins, who are attached at their tummies, and were born on December 28, 2018, through caesarean section, had a combined weight of 3.5kgs.
Named Justin and Harrison, the conjoined babies came barely a year after the country celebrated the successful separation of Siamese twins Mapalo and Bupe, born from a couple of Kawambwa district, Luapula Province.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
