ZAMBIA women team second choice goalkeeper Catherine Musonda has been ruled out of the Africa Cup of Nations kicking off on Saturday in Ghana due to an injury.
Musonda sustained the injury during a friendly against Cameroon, which the Central Africans won 7-0 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on Monday.
Team doctor Chibeza Mwansa said from Abidjan yesterday that Musonda will be out of action for three months.
The She-polopolo will go into the tournament with two goalkeepers – first-choice Hazel Nali and Chiko Nkhoma, who is the third choice.
