SHANGOMBO fish farm project, funded at a cost of K1.5 million, is helping to reduce the impact of climate change in drought-prone communities. Pilot Programme for Climate Resilience (PPCR) funded the project as part of the World Bank’s strengthening climate resilience in the Barotse sub-basin. This is under the Zambia Strengthening Climate Resilience Project phase II, which is supporting 1,659 sub-projects in 17 districts of Western Province. PPCR is an eight-year project which started in 2014 and will end in 2022. In Shangombo, PPCR is implementing 124 sub-projects.
