CHAMBO NG’UNI, Serenje
CHIEF Chisomo of Serenje has appealed to Government to build him a palace because he is currently squatting in a house belonging
to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The traditional leader made the appeal when Central Province permanent secretary Chanda Kabwe paid a courtesy call on him on Sunday.
“This house you are seeing is not for the chief but it is for the agriculture extension officer. We don’t have an agriculture extension officer here because the house in which he is supposed to live in is occupied by me,” he told Mr Kabwe.
Chief Chisomo said he should also be among the traditional leaders being considered for construction of new palaces.
And Mr Kabwe assured the chief that palaces will be built for all traditional leaders in Central Province.
