Ruth Mbandu judgment Feb 13

CHOMBA MUSIKA, Lusaka
THE Lusaka High Court has adjourned to February 28, 2017 the judgment in the murder case of slain National Institute for Public Administration (NIPA) student Ruth Mbandu.
This is a case in which five suspects have been charged with the murder of the 19-year-old former law student on July 13, 2012.
Brenda Kalomo, 31, is jointly charged with Edward Siandima, 28, and Collins Kasiye Sooma, 20, with the murder of Ruth.
It is alleged that Kalomo, Siandima and Sooma, on unknown dates but between July 13 and July 14, 2012, murdered Ruth.
A lethal drug was allegedly administered on Mbandu before she was raped and her facial skin peeled off.
When the matter came up on Friday for judgment, Judge Chalwe Mchenga adjourned it to February 28 for judgment.
Mr Justice Mchenga said the judgement was not yet ready.
