Roma’s Pendela Road should be tarred

Dear editor,
I WOULD like to appeal to authorities to work on Pendela Road from Roma township, passing through Garden Site III, to Katima Mulilo Road.

During the UNIP days, this road was covered with tar, but today it’s in such a bad shape that one can never even see any particle that should testify to the fact that this was once a tarred road.
Upgrading it from Katima Mulilo Road in Garden, crossing Kasangula Road to Ngwerere Road in Roma can make it a good feeder road and ease movements of motorists and pedestrians between these areas.
It will also be convenient for those going to Olympia, Manda Hill, all the way to Great East Road, or to Great North Road via Kasangula.
The Mandevu Member of Parliament and the councillor whose ward is in the same locality through which this road passes should ensure that it is worked on, just the way some township roads in the constituency have been upgraded.
We need to see improvements in all areas, including road infrastructure, Madam MP.
Also, the authorities should put up lighting systems on Kasangula Road and Katima Mulilo Road.
We appreciate all your efforts.
KEN KOMBE
