‘Roads investment curbing accidents’

TRANSPORT and Communication Minister Brian Mushimba.

MINISTER of Transport and Communication Brian Mushimba says Government spent K4 billion over the past two years on road-related projects in a bid to reduce road traffic accidents.

And Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) board chairperson Webster Nonde says the agency has recorded a 20 percent reduction in road traffic accidents this year.
Speaking during the commemoration of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Accident Victims at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross yesterday, Mr Mushimba said road accidents are a cost to the country’s limited resources and must be avoided.
