THE governments of Zambia and Botswana have requested road infrastructure project implementing agencies in the two countries to review the Kazungula Bridge project to include weighbridges on both ends of the US$259 million project.

Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development Ronald Chitotela says the weighbridges will guarantee safety of the multi-million dollar bridge, which will connect Zambia and Botswana.
Mr Chitotela said in an interview after touring the bridge project that the two governments, which are jointly financing the project, do not want to compromise the safety and life span of the bridge.
