Region feels impact of rising oil prices

ZAMBIA is not the only country whose pump prices of fuel have been increased due to escalating global oil prices and weakening local currencies against the United States (US) dollar.
The ripple effects of the global economic trends have spread across several other countries including South Africa, Namibia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
On Tuesday, the Energy Regulation Board raised the price of petrol from K13.75 to K16.06 per litre.
Diesel which was selling at K12.01 is now pegged at K14.65 per litre while the price of kerosene has risen from K8.85 to K11.34.
