Referee Chewe gets U-20 AfCON appointment

ZAMBIA’s referee Wisdom Chewe has been selected to officiate at the the 2017 Africa Under-20 Cup of Nations kicking off on February 26 in Lusaka and Ndola.
Kabwe-based Chewe is the only centre referee on a list of 26 match officials released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) yesterday.
Assistant referee Romeo Kasengele has also been selected to officiate at the two-week event ending on March 12.
According to CAF website, the referees are Ibrahim Nour El Din from Egypt, Sadok Selmi (Tunisia), Louis Hakizimana (Rwanda), Sekou Ahmed Toure (Guinea), Jackson Paves (Namibia) and Juste Ephrem Zio (Burkina Faso).
Others are Antoine Max Effa Essouma (Cameroon), Victor Miguel de Freitas Gomes (South Africa), Helda Martins De Cavalho (Angola), Thierry Nkurunziza (Burundi) and Maguette Ndiaye (Senegal).
