Red Arrows, KPF battle for NRL title

CHAMPIONS Red Arrows will today seek a fifth consecutive league title when they clash against Kitwe Playing Fields (KPF) in the National Rugby League (NRL) play-off final on the Copperbelt.

The winner at KPF will be crowned 2017 champions after the Zambia Rugby Union restructured the format of crowning the NRL winners.

‘Men at Work’ Diggers will tackle Green Buffaloes in the plate play-off final at the same venue.

Arrows will go into the match as favourites following their four successive league triumphs.
The airmen and ‘Spoilers’ stormed the final after overcoming Mufulira A and Nkwazi 18-13 and 27-12 respectively in the semi-finals.
Arrows will field a strong side in a bid to clinch their fifth consecutive title but must double their efforts to stun the KPF in front of their boisterous supporters in Buchi township.
