REA sheds light on rural schools

NALISHEBO NAMAIKO, Chembe
THE Rural Electrification Authority (REA)’s ongoing ambitious programme to electrify public institutions in the remotest parts of the country is gaining momentum.
The latest among the authority’s rural electrification programmes is a mammoth project to connect public institutions in three districts of Luapula Province.
REA draws impetus to connect rural areas to the national electricity grid from its Rural Electrification Master Plan (REMP), which is a blueprint for Government’s desire to increase access to electricity in rural areas by over 50 percent by 2030. http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
