REA powers over 2,300 Mununshi houses

GOVERNMENT has connected Mununshi village in Mwansabombwe to the national grid with 2,350 households expected to benefit from the K12 million project.
Speaking after inspecting works under phases one and two of the project, Rural Electrification Authority (REA) chief executive officer Geoffrey Musonda said 750 houses have so far been electrified in Mununshi.
Mr Musonda said the remaining 1,600 houses will be connected to power by April next year.
“Here in Mununshi, we connected 400 houses under phase one at a cost of K2 million. We moved to phase two, which we have completed after connecting 350 houses at K1.6 million. We intend to connect 1,600 houses at K8 million
