Dear editor,
THE poor state of Lumumba Road requires urgent attention. It has been in a deplorable state for a long time.
This road is of economic significance to Zambia as it drives the country’s economy. This is because trucks, which ferry fuel from either the northern region or southern region, use this road.
The poor state of this road poses a danger to the lives of people arising from road mishaps.
I, therefore, earnestly appeal to Road Development Agency (RDA) to quickly come on board and start repairing it before lives are lost.
The lifespan of vehicles passing through this road is reduced due to wear and tear of some components.
Motorists have bemoaned the poor state of the road for a long time and yet nothing has been done.
I am appealing to Government, through RDA, to consider repairing this road.
