Provide facts on suppliers, KCM told

KASUBA MULENGA, Nanchang, China
GOVERNMENT has said Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) must provide statistical data on its indebtedness and immediately find money to pay workers their August salaries.
Minister of Mines and Minerals Development Richard Musukuwa said this at a media briefing here yesterday.
Mr Musukwa said a seven-day ultimatum Government gave KCM to pay local suppliers and contractors has elapsed.
“Government is now directing KCM after the passing of the ultimatum to immediately provide statistical data on contractors and suppliers it has paid and those it has not paid,” he said.
